Frequently Asked Questions

My Boat is moored at a marina, do I have to dry dock it to have it detailed?

No, we can detail your boat right at your slip. In some cases, we ask that you turn your boat around when we are halfway done so we can work on both sides. We also have an inflatable raft for areas that are not accessible from the dock.

Can you come to my home to work on my vehicle, boat or RV?

Yes, as long as you have access to a water spigot, and a power outlet that can handle an output of 750 watts.

How Can I tell if my gelcoat is oxidized or not?

Boats & RV's  that are left out in the elements will become oxidized over time. If your boat no longer can hold a shine, then the oxidation process has begun. Heavily oxidized gelcoat will look faded, and feel chalky to the touch.

What kind of wax & cleaning products do you use?

All vehicles, boats, & RVs respond differently to different wax & polish products, so we will have a variety of top rated brands on hand. After washing, we will test out a small section of the gelcoat, clear-coat, or paint with different products to determine which wax, polish or rubbing compound is the right match.

Do you use a buffer? I am concerned about ruining my paint.

Yes, we have both rotary buffers & dual action polishers in our collection.

We are very experienced, so there will be no risk of burning, swirling, or damaging your finish.

How long does it take to do a full detail?

Vehicles can take between 3 to 4 hours on average, depending on the condition of the vehicle. Boats & RV's typically take much longer. It is not uncommon for even a small boat in poor condition, to take a full day to detail. We focus on thoroughness, rather than completing the job quickly.

I have some stains in my carpet that I can't get out. Are you able to remove them?

In most cases, yes. If we can not remove the stains chemically or with the hot water extractor, there is the option of dyeing the carpet. Color matching dyes are almost never the exact same color. In most cases we would dye the entire carpet a shade darker to mask any stains.

How do you clean the canvas cover on my boat?

For canvas tops with no mildew, mild boat soap is usually all that is needed. Sometimes, we will use a vinyl safe canvas cleaner and soft bristle brush if your canvas has not been cleaned in awhile. If you have vinyl windows that are lightly scratched or cloudy, we do have a product that may help give it a clearer look as well.

Why are your some of your prices not listed on your website?

The package prices may vary depending on the condition, location, and complexity of the job. For example, if a boat has been maintained poorly during the winter, it is going to take a much longer time to clean. A boat that is moored in a marina takes a lot more effort to clean than a boat that is dry-docked or on a trailer.

Can you give me a quote over the phone?  What if I send you pictures first with my cell phone?

When it comes to boats & RV's we do not give price quotes over the phone. We do encourage our clients to e-mail or text us photos to give us an idea of what to expect.

What kind of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, bitcoin, check and cash.
